Credit Suisse Names Market Leader For Philippines

has appointed Sacha Eugster as market leader for the Philippines based in Singapore. He will join on 3 January 2022 and continue to report to market group head Marcus Slöör, Private Banking Philippines. Eugster has spent two decades in wealth management, joining Credit Suisse in 2003. After 11 years, he became head of the Swiss bank’s Singapore booking centre, moving in 2016 to become team leader for the Philippines market, managing the Singapore-based team. The bank recently announced a shakeup to its business divisions while announcing third-quarter financial results. The bank said it plans to exit 10 “non-core” wealth management markets. It is slimming down parts of its investment bank to reduce risk exposures and capital, quitting prime services – with certain exceptions.
The Zurich-listed bank said that beginning from January 2022, it will be reorganised into four divisions – wealth management, investment bank, Swiss bank and asset management – and four geographic regions – Switzerland, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
Credit Suisse has been busy in Asia with a number of hires. For example, Thidatip Thitikarunwong joined and is based in Bangkok. As a team leader, she leads a new Thailand onshore group, which includes relationship managers Nakkagamon Manosri and Naphak Tachasiriamorn, to help fuel the growth of the Credit Suisse franchise in the Southeast Asian nation. In early October, Credit Suisse named five team leaders who will span its North Asia business.
